THE GREATER Manchester Police Male Voice Choir are seeking new members following a period of success.

The group have experienced an increase in demand after performances in the local area and at venues across the UK.

They have also showcased their talents overseas, performing in Sweden, Finland and Germany.

Frank Pearson, choir secretary, said: “Our members come from a wide variety of backgrounds and not just from having served within the Greater Manchester Police.

"No previous singing experience is required. We are a very welcoming, friendly choir so why not come along and see for yourself?”

Founded in 1974, the choir raises funds for local community groups and national charities.

Future plans include a concert in aid Cancer Research UK at the Royal Albert Hall in 2018 and performing on a cruise liner in the Norwegian Fjords in the summer of 2019.
