TWO people have been taken to hospital after a fight broke out in the street in Breightmet.

Police were called to the scene, in Winchester Way, just after 11.30pm on Thursday.

A 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault after a person was injured.

Two ambulances also attended the incident at around 11.40pm.

The North West Ambulance Service has confirmed that one person was taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary with major trauma and another was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital.

A house in Winchester Way was cordoned off on Friday morning, as well as a section of road beside the property.
