ON TARGET: Markland Hill Tennis Club raised cash for charity
MEMBERS of Markland Hill Racquets Club in Heaton proved winners when they decided to fundraise for charity Children Today.
The members raised £380 from a raffle towards buying bespoke items of equipment for children and young people with disabilities.
Pictured right, regional fundraiser Elizabeth Oakes, fifth from left, received a cheque from club chairman John Mullin, with other members of the club.
Mrs Oakes said: “Many thanks to all the club members — they really are good sports!”
