A VACANT betting shop could be brought back to life and turned into a bakery after plans were submitted to Bolton Council.
The proposal for the former Coral in Crompton Way, is to revamp the premises into a Greenhalgh's Craft Bakery.
The work would include a new shop front, external shutter and external air conditioning and low noise refrigeration equipment.
A statement submitted with the application said: "The external layout changes with the introduction of a new shop-frontage, with automatic sliding doors with a central entrance increasing the access to 1.7 metres. Internally the existing layout is to be reconfigured to provide a defined customer area with an internal retail area for use by the shop personnel."
It added: "The application is to provide a retail outlet for Greenhalgh`s Craft Bakery"
