A YOUTH club wants to paint the town yellow and blue.

Bolton Lads & Girls Club is asking businesses to rally around for its Yellow & Blue Day fundraiser.

The event is now in its second year and in 2018 is hoping to be bigger and better.

In 2017 more than 30 organisations took part and this year the youth club is aiming to raise £8,000.

The Yellow & Blue Day takes place on Friday and Saturday.

On Friday businesses will be placed in either Team Blue or Team Yellow and tasked with raising as much money as possible.

On Saturday, the town centre will be given over to the event and Bolton FM will be taking over the airwaves in Victoria Square.

Karen Edwards, CEO of Bolton Lads & Girls Club said: "The Yellow & Blue Day fundraiser is a great initiative and intends to bring companies and the community together and show their support.

"Last year saw us raise a staggering amount, thanks to the generosity of all our lovely patrons, supporters and the community of Bolton, and this year we’re hoping to raise in excess of £8,000."
