A YOUNG boy was rescued after his leg was trapped in a climbing frame.
The boy, who was about five, was playing in a park off Green Lane in Horwich when one of his legs slipped and he became trapped.
His grandmother, who was with him called the fire brigade who used hydraulic rescue equipment to spread the bars the free him.
The incident happened at about 11am on Sunday morning and it took the fire crew from Horwich around 10 minutes to free the young boy.
Watch manager Mark McCourt, said: "It's not a daily occurrence for us but it's certainly not unheard of especially with children."
