A MUM and her two daughters were among the special guests who were invited to Windsor Castle to see the royal wedding first hand.

Debra Green OBE, the founding director of Redeeming Our Communities (ROC), which has a Radcliffe centre, was invited into the castle grounds to attend the wedding ceremony of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in recognition of the work of the organisation — a community hub that is working to transform lives.

Mrs Green and her daughters Sarah Mhlanga, a Meghan Markle lookalike, and Rebecca Green, were among 600 guests to attend the ceremony.

Mrs Green, from Altrincham, said: "We were there very early, at around 9am. It was a beautiful day.

"We had a fantastic time. We were able to see lots of famous people at very close range. Everybody was commenting on what people were wearing. There were some 'wow' factor outfits.

"I remember spotting Victoria and David Beckham arrive at 10.30am, then saw George Clooney.

"The royals began arriving at 11.15am, and then finally I saw William and Harry walking down the entire length of the walkway into the chapel, just chatting and laughing. After that, the Queen arrived and went in the entrance opposite us.

"The best thing was being part of the atmosphere, being there with everybody, the excitement.

"The service was beautiful. There was something powerful about it. Everybody was whooping and cheering and clapping.

"It was a very memorable time."

Mrs Green said that guests each received a goodie bag but she unfortunately lost hers on their way home from Windsor.

"We later found out they were selling them on eBay for up to £3,000 so that was quite humorous", she said.
