THE cast of Walmsley Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society certainly hit the right note in Brigadoon.

Audiences enjoyed songs such as Almost Like Being in Love as they were taken to the mysterious Scottish village — which apparently only appears for only one day every 100 years - as the society delighted them with the musical Brigadoon in November 1974.

The popular production follows the story of two America tourists who stumble across the village, with a one of the travellers falling in love with a young woman from the village.

The original production opened in Broadway in 1947 and ran for 581 performances.
