DEREK ROLAND SMITH 15.7.1939 11.6.2018 Sadly we announce the death of our husband, dad, friend, colleague. A king amongst men! We wanted you to stay but your time had come. We willed you to carry on but your life was done. We carry on to make you proud but a hole in our heart is obvious to all. You loved with no question. You accepted with grace. You passed in peace. With thanks to all who supported Derek during his long illness. Loving husband of Valerie, dad to Lesley, Tracey and Heather. Grandfather to Ashley, Zoe, Chloe, Spencer, Daniel, William and Henry. The Funeral Service will take place on Friday 22nd June 2018 in St Pauls Church, Astley Bridge, at 2:00pm, followed by private family committal. Family flowers only please.
