CHILDREN from a local primary school were having fun in this picture taken in 1987.
The youngsters were pupils at Castle Hill Primary School in Bolton and were dancing around a May pole put up in the school grounds.
This traditional form of dance has pretty much died out in most schools but was a much loved form of entertainment in the early part of the 20th century.
