A NEW state-of-the-art RRG Skoda centre has opened in Bolton.

The dealership – the third in the town – launched at a site just off Topp Way in the town centre. It was opened by the Mayor of Bolton, Councillor Elaine Sherrington.

A spokesman for the firm, which employs 20 workers on the site, said: “We are immensely proud to open our third dealership in the town and with our Lexus centre having just undergone extensive refurbishment and the modern Toyota site on Bury Road remaining a popular choice for the people of Bolton, we are delighted to be part of the ongoing development of the town.”

RRG Managing Director, Tony Cliff was born and bred in Bolton and began his career as a petrol pump attendant over 32 years ago at the age of sixteen, and has been with RRG Group ever since.

Mr Cliff said: “RRG have been operating now from Bolton for over 50 years and the opening of RRG Skoda in the town makes it our 21st dealership in the group.

"As well as providing a great range of car options for the people of Bolton we are delighted to be providing extra employment opportunities in the area and we are always keen to build our community links in the area including our recent partnership with the Bolton University and College Automotive Department. The addition to the RRG business makes us one of the biggest car retailers in the North West and the Skoda brand has seen tremendous development in recent years providing some exciting times ahead for RRG Group.

“We would be delighted to welcome you soon.”
