WE may take for granted the fact that Bolton has a rich heritage in arts and culture.
So, it’s nice for a famous face to remind us of this. Actor Samuel West, from the legendary acting family, was at a Bolton Council meeting to present the former Council leader Cllr Cliff Morris with an award for championing the arts.
The town not only has as an excellent professional theatre, the Octagon - built originally with active help from the council - but also a vibrant amateur dramatic and operatic seam with plenty of societies and individuals involved. Definitely something to shout about.
