A LADYBRIDGE man who invented a football-based board game says its perfect to play during the World Cup.

Primary School teacher Ian Holden developed the game in his free time and released it for sale in June.

The game, Football Dice, involves sets of teams which can be matched up together, with contestants rolling to see who will score more.

Mr Holden, a father of two, said: “We gave got 16 international teams including England. I think people will love it, it’s a great game.

“I think a lot of parents will love giving it to their kids. It will get them away from their devices and interacting with other people.

“During the World Cup you can do thing’s such as predicting the scores of some of these upcoming games with the dice.”

England will appear in the quarter finals of the World Cup today at 3pm, for the first time since 2006.

Mr Holden, along with his partner Angela, have created videos of the game on the Football Dice YouTube channel, including replays of some of international football’s iconic clashes.

The videos are available on the Football Dice page here: https://www.youtube.com/
