AM I the only person concerned about official recognition of sex addiction as a treatable problem?
The World Health Organisation has now declared it a mental health disorder which could prompt the NHS to start treating “sufferers”.
These are usually the rich and famous (golfer Tiger Woods, actors Charlie Sheen and Michael Douglas) who cite this as a reason for their long-term profligate behaviour. No mention of self-control.
Our NHS would have to downgrade other treatments to pay for it – while many experts are unsure it’s even an illness. Let’s see the research before we invest millions into a non-problem.
