PLANS to convert a semi-detached home into a “house of multiple occupation” for twelve people have been recommended for approval - despite objections from residents and councillors.
Aquqe Sulis Investment’s application to dividethe Park Street property into eight bedrooms will go before Bolton Council’s planning committee on Thursday.
Ward councillors Jean Gillies and Maureen Flitcroft, have raised concerns over noise and disturbance, parking and a lack of bin storage.
Other opponents of the plans say it will attract criminal and anti-social behaviour. But the officer’s report states it will not harm the character of the area or create a “severe impact” on the surrounding roads.
