Harrison Sievey
A BOLTON man is to face a retrial over the death of Harrison Sievey, the 24-year-old son of Frank Sidebottom creator Chris Sievey.
Last month a jury failed to reach a verdict over Vithal Visavadiya, aged 63, of Clunton Avenue, Daubhill, who is accused of causing death by careless driving in Mauldeth Road, Fallowfield, on February 12 last year.
Visavadiya hit Mr Sievey in a Vauxhall Corsa as he lay in the road after falling off his bicycle.
He claims he did not see the cyclist and denies he was driving carelessly.
A new trial will take place on February 25 at Manchester Crown Court and is expected to last five days.
