THE subject of what constitutes recyclable goods seems to have got people talking recently.
Are yoghurt pots, for instance, to go into whatever the local council says is your bin for recycled goods? Neither Bolton nor Bury councils count them as recyclable although some others around the country do.
Bolton Council’s system appears to be quite straightforward – grey bins for rubbish, beige for paper and cardboard, burgundy for bottles and aerosols and green for garden and food waste.
If you’re not sure, a quick check on the councils’ websites reveal all – just recycle what you can is the best message.
