All the numbers added up for Josh Glicklich (17) who is heading for the University of Sheffield to study maths.
Josh, of Ainsdale Road, Great Lever, gained an A-grade in maths, a B for geography and a C for physics.
“I got a huge amount of support from my tutors. They’ve been great,” said Josh, who hopes to have a career as a maths researcher.
“The stress management techniques and advice they gave us were really helpful.”
Now that he has two Distinction* and a Distinction in applied science, Muhammad Awan is on his way to achieving his dream career in diagnostic radiography.
“The key to doing so well was that I stopped procrastinating,” said Muhammad, 20, of Jeburgh Avenue, Heaton.
He will begin studying diagnostic radiography at the University of Salford in the autumn.
Zahir Bobat, (18), hopes for a career in computer software and will be undertaking a degree apprenticeship in digital and technology solutions at Manchester Metropolitan University.
“My results were better than I needed so I am very happy,” he said.
Zahir, of Leighton Avenue, Heaton, built his own computer last year so we could be hearing a lot more about this talented young man in the future.
