THE new town centre post office opened its doors last week, revealing a bright, sleek look.
The new office in Oxford Street replaces the former central post office in Deansgate, which closed last Wednesday after a century of service.
The new office might not boast the grandeur of the Deansgate branch, but it has been designed with efficiency in mind.
The branch, open seven days a week, is conveniently situated in the heart of the town centre.
With six counters and extended opening hours, it promises a speedier, hassle-free service.
The branch also benefits from a counter dedicated to digital application services, where customers can renew their driving licence and passport.
Foreign nationals can also apply for residency using the specialist biometric enrolment booth.
Opening hours have been extended with services available from 8am until 6pm Monday to Fridays, 9am until 6pm on Saturdays and 11am until 4pm on Sundays.
Overall, the new Oxford Street branch will be open for an extra 13.5 hours every week.
Lottery will also be available.
