BOLTON comic Dave Spikey has become the face of road safety in the North-west.
The co-writer and star of Phoenix Nights is the main interview in the Lancashire County Council Road Safety Group magazine Roadlife.
In an interview, Dave, who worked at the Royal Bolton Hospital prior to becoming a comedian, reveals how he helped Peter Kay in his driving test Dave, who is performing at The Met in Market Street, Bury, tonight, said: "I am really pleased to be involved with Roadlife magazine - thank goodness they aren't leaving road safety to a squirrel any more."
The new edition of Roadlife includes celebrity interviews, features and all the latest road safety news.
There is an interview with actress Anna Friel, inspiring real life stories and handy hints on how to stay safe on the county's roads.
Roadlife is available from various county libraries, GP surgeries, leisure centres, schools, car and motorcycle dealers.
