A LORRY fire broke out near Leigh town centre this morning, Tuesday.

Two fire engines were called to a blaze on Leigh Road at around 7.40am.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said fire pumps using two hose reels were used to deal with the fire.
