BOLTON Under-14s had to settle for a share of the points after being held to a 1-1 draw by Manchester in the Greater Manchester Schools League.
Manchester took the lead on the half hour mark in a closely contested game but Bolton hit back to level the scores five minutes from time when Rivington's Connor Loftus fired home following good work from Turton's Robert Guffogg.
Bolton were unfortunate not to claim all three points late on when a Loftus strike hit the post.
Bolton Under-15s are out of the English Schools Trophy after going down 3-2 to Blackburn at Plessington in the third round when they took the lead twice and lost in the dying seconds.
Bury Under-14s shared the points in a thrilling 5-5 draw at home to Oldham.
The visitors took a 2-0 lead before Bury reduced the arrears before the break with a Tommy Toth (Broadoak) strike.
Oldham restored their two-goal advantage at the start of the second half but Bury hit back with a Craig Bolland (Prestwich) strike before levelling through Brad Howarth (Tottington).
Dawson restored Oldham's lead 10 minutes from time but Chris Moyo (St Gabriel's) equalised for a second time to make it 4-4.
Bury went behind again before they hit back with a second Howarth goal in the last minute.
Bury Under-15s beat Knowsley 4-2 in a challenge game with three goals from Liam Tate (St. Gabriel's) and one from Matthew Carr (Derby).
