DAVID Cameron officially opened a Conservative club in Bolton with half a pint of John Smiths.
Over 100 of its 370 members packed into Tonge and Breightmet Conservative Club to welcome the Conservative party leader.
Mr Cameron was invited by club president, John Winch, to open the club in celebration of its recent £50,000 refurbishment.
Mr Winch said: "It was an excellent day and the atmosphere was terrific. Mr Cameron greeted each member and guest personally before making a short speech and having a drink at the bar.
"He left the club and its members on a real high."
During the 35-minute visit to the 114-year-old club, Mr Cameron took a tour of the building, admiring its new bar and raised stage.
