VOLUNTEERS across Bolton are being asked to help build a school in Africa.
Hands Around the World, a charity dedicated to sending short-term volunteers to help in developing countries, is looking for volunteers in the town to spend four weeks in Benin, West Africa.
Each volunteer is asked to pay £250 up front and is given a group fundraising target to reach.
Work will be carried out in Dogba village, Benin.
Volunteers will time living and working alongside the local people while helping to build classrooms on stilts.
The new classrooms will replace those destroyed by flooding.
All interested parties must be free to travel in November or December for one month.
Margaret Coupe, of Ainsworth, who will lead the team in Dogba, said: "This is an opportunity not to be missed so if there is a small voice inside you saying, I think I could do this', then please come along to one of the launch meetings and learn more."
For meeting dates and information call Margaret Coupe on 01204 525881.
