A BUDDING DJ spent a day in the studios of Radio station, Key 103, to spread the world about child poverty.
After answering an online quiz, Rebecca Barton was selected to help produce a news package about the issue.
The 14-year-old, of Moor Close, Radcliffe, joined three other listeners from the North-west to produce the programme, which included an interview with Gordon Brown and celebrity messages from Travis, Paul O'Grady and singer Amy MacDonald.
The pre-recorded piece, which was aired throughout Friday, was in support of Save the Children's Global Campaign, which aims to stop child poverty and death.
Rebecca, who was one of the programme's newsreaders, said: "The aim of the news programme was to inform the listeners about children in the developing world and how they can help them.
"A lot of people listen to the radio so hopefully young people will have tuned in and got the message."
Rebecca was selected after answering questions about child safety, street crime and the UK government.
She said: "It was good fun, I want to work in the media so found it very interesting," she said.
