BEAUTY student Sandra Allen really made heads turn with this startling red and black take on The Joker from Batman.
Model Emma Bracegirdle found herself transformed by Sandra and she dazzled the judges and audience at a show at Bolton Community College.
Sandra, aged 40, is a level three hair and beauty student. She said her amazing creation added a sophisticated edge to the usually dark character.
She said: "I wanted a sexy look whilst still being quite dark. The feedback we got from the judges was really good and they were very impressed.
"I'd love to work in the theatre, so I'm thinking of staying on at college to do make-up."
Her design featured in the college's annual competition for students from the hairdressing, nail art and beauty courses.
It featured head-to-toe designs along various themes, including avant- gard nails and Las Vegas showgirls.
The judges included Claire Gillies, a L'Oreal technician, Lorraine Berry from the City and Guilds centre and other beauty industry experts.
Tracy Stuart, a hair and beauty lecturer at the college, said: "Our students are extremely talented, with bright futures ahead of them. The event was a huge success and we thank everyone involved."
All proceeds from the show will go to the CLIC Sargent children's cancer charity.
