Ex-Street star's role in online soap opera

FORMER Coronation Street star Casey-Lee Jolleys has landed a role in a new internet-only interactive soap opera.
Casey-Lee, who is best known for her role as Fred Elliott's mail order bride, Orchid, in the Street, will play one of the main characters in the on-line soap, Spinning Jenny.
Spinning Jenny is set in Manchester, and follows the fortunes of PR girl Jenny Hargreaves. Casey-Lee, aged 34, stars as one of Jenny's celebrity clients, a wannabe pop-star called Miss Ellie.
The soap can be seen on YouTube, the video sharing website, and plans for the show include the ability for viewers to influence plotlines, vote characters on and off and provide their own footage.
Casey-Lee said Spinning Jenny is only the third online soap to be created in the world.
She said: "Spinning Jenny is a really exciting project. There are a couple of online soaps, but the producers intend to take Jenny to the next level.
"It's a little bit worrying, wondering what they're going to make me do next. It's almost like a soap crossed with Big Brother.
"I'm saying it's okay now, but who knows, if they make me do something really mad, maybe I'll take that back."
The pilot episode has been filmed and the producers are now in talks to continue the series.
She added: "When you think how many people log on worldwide, it's not just in this country, the potential of it's vast. I think it's going to be huge."
