CAR vandals caused thousands of pounds of damage during a late-night wrecking spree.
Residents of Lee Lane in Horwich woke yesterday to find their tyres had been slashed and paintwork scratched.
Other cars had their windscreen wipers and wing mirrors ripped off in what locasl say is the most recent in a string of attacks.
Julie King, aged 31, said two of her car's tyres were slashed: "All the way up the road there are cars with their tyres put out. We thought they had just been let down at first, but then we realised someone had actually been and jabbed them."
Mrs King is pregnant and, at nine days overdue, is expecting to be rushed to hospital imminently.
She said: "All day I was thinking "oh my God, what if it happens now and I can't get to hospital.
"Luckily we've got some good friends who helped us, and we've got our tyres fixed now. I know some people haven't been able to get theirs done though."
Mrs King says the vandalism is becoming a regular problem, caused almost every weekend by drunken revellers spilling out of nearby pubs at closing time.
One of her neighbours now parks his car on a different street at weekends, while another is considering selling her car because she cannot afford the cost of constant repairs.
In the last three months, Mrs King has had her tyres slashed, her wing mirror ripped off and her paint scratched several times.
Police confirmed that residents have so far reported damage to four cars on Lee Lane, and that officers are investigating.
