Bolton Community College makes first signing

BOLTON Community College has made its first signing to a new football coaching course which kicks-off in September.
Teenager Alan Marsh has become the first learner to embark on the new NVQ level two course in football coaching, teaching and instructing.
The course is accredited by the Football Association and run in conjunction with Bolton Wanderers.
Alan, aged 17, who lives in Tonge Moor, is a former Smithills School pupil currently studying a diploma in sport and says the new course will help him become a PE teacher.
He said: "I have played football for as long as I can remember and would really like to teach everyone and anyone the game. I am looking forward to starting the course in September."
Learners will also be expected to apply the theories of coaching in a practical situation, as well as being involved in a community-coaching scheme arranged by the college.
The course will be run by Bolton Wanderers Coach Education manager, Jack Trainer and the college's Football Curriculum leader Ben Blocksidge.
Mr Trainer said: "As a club we are committed to nurturing raw talent and a passion for the game. We are regarded as leaders in the field of Coach Education and we hope that, together with Bolton Community College, we can remain at the forefront of coaching techniques."
The course starts in September. An information evening will be held at the Reebok Stadium today (Tuesday) at 6.30pm.
