A STUDENT minister has published a collection of writings, spanning 400 years of religion.

Stephen Lingwood, aged 26, will become minister at the Bank Street Chapel, Bolton, in September and has compiled The Unitarian Life: Voices From The Past and Present.

Mr Lingwood, who lives in Rusholme, wants the book to be a resource for Unitarians and theology students.

He said: "Unitarianism is a very liberal and open religion, which is, I think, a very wonderful thing. The downside is that we sometimes don't know what we stand for. I hope this book will help in that sense."

The book, which is published by Lindsey Press this month, includes writings about the denomination from the 16th century to the present day.
