POLICE are investigating after a teenager was stabbed in a park.
It is believed the 15-year-old boy was involved in a row with another youth on the Astley Bridge Recreation Ground at around 10.50pm last night.
The boy was then stabbed in the side with what police believe was a screwdriver.
He managed to stagger to the ASDA store in Blackburn Road, Astley Bridge, where he collapsed, bleeding on the floor.
Staff rushed to help him and administered first aid to try and stem the flow of blood until paramedics arrived to take him the Royal Bolton Hospital.
A police spokesman said the boy was in a stable condition and that his injuries were not believed to be life threatening.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
