Gravesend and Northfleet were hoping it was a case of third time lucky when they tried to stage their FA Cup first-round tie against Notts County last night as the News Shopper went to press.
Two previous attempts to play the tie were called off because of the waterlogged state of the Stonebridge Road pitch.
Its been a frustrating wait for all concerned, not least for the 3,300 fans who have tickets.
If the game did go ahead and an outright result was determined, then the winners will play away to Nationwide Division Two league leaders Wigan Athletic in round two on December 9.
Last Saturdays home Ryman League Premier Division game against Grays Athletic was also postponed it was called off after an early morning pitch inspection but prospects were improving as we went to press with drier weather predicted.
This Saturday, the Fleet are scheduled to travel to play Dulwich Hamlet in the league.
