I read with horror yesterday that the Italian killer of murdered headmaster Philip Lawrence will not be deported on his release because that would breach his human rights.
The current politically correct system is a farce. What about the human rights of Mr Lawrence’s wife and family. The day Learco Chindamo (the killer) stabbed Mr Lawrence then he gave up his “human rights”. The man has no right to stay in this country and he should be thrown out and sent back to Italy.
The other question is why a convicted killer is being released at all? When a criminal is sentenced to life imprisonment then it should mean life and the same goes for all other sentences, sentenced to 6 months custody then serve 6 months. The early release scheme is scandalous and should be scrapped.
It’s about time the victims and their families “rights” were put first. We should scrap the Human Rights Act and draft our own Bill of Rights which balances our beliefs and traditions and enshrines the rights of the law abiding majority above those of the criminal.
