A TOWN centre busker who was banned from singing in public has been sectioned under the Mental Health Act.
Joseph Kaicalo was due to be sentenced today after pleading guilty to behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress and racially aggravated verbal abuse.
Kaicalo, aged 45, of Rostherne Gardens, Deane, also admitted breaching his interim ASBO by using abusive language in Cafe Nero in Deansgate, Bolton.
But the busker was unable to attend court because he was sectioned.
The interim ASBO banned Kaicalo from begging, swearing or using abusive language as well as singing or playing any musical instrument in a public place or a place members of the public have access to.
Kaicalo’s ASBO has now expired, but he will be unable to leave hospital.
His case will be reviewed on September 26.
