SHOPPERS in Bolton were flocked to the newly extended Primark in Crompton Place shopping centre.
The store has undergone months of work that has seen it extended from 8,600 sq ft of retail space to an impressive 21,500 sq ft.
As well as providing a retail boost to the area, it has created 60 new jobs, with some workers coming from stores that have gone out of business in the recession.
Primark store manager Marianne Campbell said: “We had more than 1,000 applicants and worked with Bolton Council, so we have taken some people from Adams and Woolworths to help get people back into work.”
Bargain-hunters were pleased with the transformation.
