WHEN supermarket stunner Kristina Long is not stacking shelves or helping people pack their shopping bags, she dreams of being crowned the next Miss England.

The 21-year-old, who studies at Bolton University and works at Asda in Burnden, hopes to make the finals of the national beauty pageant.

The media student, originally from Belfast, now calls Bolton her home and has made it to the last 16 finalists of the Miss Trafford heat of the competition.

It is the first time Kristina has entered a beauty contest and the checkout girls at Asda are supporting her all the way.

She said: “The girls think it is great. They think it is quite funny that I’m from Northern Ireland but I’m entering Miss England.

“It’s the first time that I’ve done anything like this. It’s just a bit of fun but I am hoping to get into TV or the media after my degree, so that is why I’m entering.”

If Kristina, who lives in Farnworth, wins the Miss Trafford heat, she will be put forward as a contestant for Miss England.
