The prestigious English National Ballet will be premiering its new production on Saturday — at Thornleigh Salesian College.
Since Monday members of the ballet company have been working with pupils at the Astley Bridge school.
The company was invited to stage workshops with the children, aged between 11 and 18 years old, as part of an initiative to expose young people to arts and culture for five hours a week.
On Saturday afternoon the week will culminate in a new ballet featuring the children. The new production has been inspired by the recent Ballets Russes performance by English National Ballet at Sadler’s Wells.
After its premiere in Bolton the production will be taken to the Royal Festival Hall, in London later this year.
