New Roary TV role for comic star Peter Kay

After the success of his singing alter ego Geraldine, Bolton TV star Peter Kay is taking on another female role — this time for a children’s animation.
The Phoenix Nights comedian will provide the voice for Big Christine as well as her son Big Chris in new episodes of Channel 5 show Roary the Racing Car.
Big Christine is described as a karaoke fanatic and the first episode of the new series sees her performing a duet with her son.
The programme follows the adventures of a young racing car and the new series begins on Five on July 13.
