PLANNING chiefs in Bolton are being recommended to approve plans to convert an historic mill into a boarding school.
The Al-Ehya Trust wants to turn the former Egyptian Mill, in Slater Street, Halliwell, into an Islamic girls’ boarding school.
The plans were deferred at Bolton Council’s planning committee meeting in June to allow members to question the applicants on various aspects of the scheme.
If approved, the school will cater for 434 paying students.
