Ginnel railings in Blackrod to be moved a second time

RAILINGS in a Blackrod ginnel are set to be moved again.
Bolton Council moved the railings, which used to be in the centre of the ginnel between Castlecroft Avenue and Manchester Road, to one side.
But the “improvement” has caused concern for residents who say that horses and motorbikes have been using the cut-through which they could not previously use because of the barriers.
At a meeting of Blackrod Town Council, David Wagstaff, Bolton Council public rights of way officer, said that the railing would be returned to its original position.
