ANIMAL lovers are being urged to go on a fundraising catwalk.
The Bolton and Radcliffe branch of Cat Protection is holding the 5km Cat Walk at 1pm on Saturday, August 15, at Leverhulme Park in Bolton.
Walkers can either raise money through sponsorship or pay a £10 fee to take part.
A spokesman for the branch said: “Cat Walks have proved really popular in other areas of the country because they are good fun and people enjoy a nice, leisurely stroll at this time of year.
“They are also an excellent means of raising awareness of our work and much-needed funds to continue what we do. We’re extending a warm invitation to people of all ages and fitness levels to come along and enjoy themselves.
“Walkers are welcome to bring their dog along, though we would advise they are kept on a lead. We would not recommend that cats are brought to the event. However, cat-themed fancy dress is encouraged.”
The event will include stalls, refreshments, face painting, games, merchandise, and a donation station where sponsor money can be submitted.
