Make a date with Paddy McGuinness

COMEDIAN Paddy McGuinness is on the hunt for single people to take part in a new ITV1 dating show.

The Farnworth-born funnyman will host Take Me Out, which will feature a single man who is challenged to impress 30 women.

The contestant will walk on stage, introduce himself to the lucky ladies, who will each have a light above their head.

If the man isn’t their Mr Right, they can then switch off the light, and the show goes on until only one light is on.

The eight shows, which each last an hour, will be aired in early 2010.

The same 30 women will take part in each show.

“ITV and dating shows are a match made in heaven,” said Paddy, referring to Cilla Black’s trailblazing show, Blind Date.

He added: “To say I’m excited about hosting this show is an understatement.”
