SINGER Danny Jones is through to the next round of ITV1’s Popstar to Operastar show.
The Bolton musician was given rapturous applause from the audience after his Friday night performance.
But before his song, Danny, whose normal day job is with boy band McFly, admitted he was having some language problems.
He said: “The hardest thing is learning the Italian. It is so hard, especially when you are from Bolton.”
The 23-year-old even visited an Italian restaurant for a last-minute lesson.
The Saturdays singer Vanessa White was voted off after appearing in the bottom two the previous week.
The remaining contestants are Kym Marsh, Bernie Nolan, Jimmy Osmond, Darius Campbell and Marcella Detroit.
