Arsonists hit leisure centre in Bolton

A LEISURE centre was damaged when arsonists set fire to a set of doors on Sunday morning.
Fire crews attended Hayward Leisure Centre, in Morris Green, at around 8.30am, after staff arriving for work alerted them.
The fire burnt the doors and spread into the roof of the building but it was not badly affected.
The centre, in Morris Green Lane, remained open as usual. It is not yet known how much the repairs will cost The centre is due to close at the end of March to make way for the new ESSA Academy on the site.
