AS a recent patient at the Royal Bolton Hospital, I can't praise them enough.

I was taken to the A&E by my son with pains in my stomach and back. The doctors gave me a really good examination. I had blood tests and an X-ray, and was admitted to F5 ward that night.

I was in the ward for two weeks, had my gall bladder removed, and the doctors and nurses were brilliant. They all have loads of patience and should be on the wages that footballers get. After all, they are doing a worthwhile job.
