SIR: I would like to clarify my letter of February 26 concerning Bolton Age Concern.
I was mistaken in my belief that facilities at Bolton would be transferred to Farnworth.
I have now been informed by Gareth Evans that the current facilities will remain in Bolton and that Farnworth will have new and extended activities.
I appreciate the work and effort put into Age Concern by the management and staff and my letter was not intended to denigrate them in anyway.
I am happy that my fears for Bolton have been shown to be misfounded.
