FOUR men have been arrested and class A drugs with a street value of £9,000 seized after police swooped on houses in Bolton.

Officers from Bolton's Organised Crime Unit raided the Glendale Guest house in Bradford Street, The Haulgh, at 8.30am yesterday and recovered £4,000 of drugs, believed to be crack cocaine and heroin.

Three men, aged 49, 29 and 23 were arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply and have been bailed until November pending further inquiries.

Another man, aged 36, was arrested in a separate incident when officers carried out another drugs warrant in Woodgate Street, Great Lever.

About £5,000 of crack cocaine, heroin and cannabis was recovered.

The 36-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a class A drug with intent to supply and was being interviewed by police last night.

Det Insp Stuart Wilkinson, of Bolton CID, said: “This has been the second good result that we have had in the past two days, with almost £10,000 worth of drugs now seized and taken off the streets.”

“I would urge anyone with information about those involved in the sale and supply of drugs to contact us in confidence.”
