FIREFIGHTERS dealt with a spate of deliberately started fires in Bolton over the past two days.
Crews were called out just before 10pm on Tuesday after connifer trees in Hill View Court, Astley Bridge, were set alight.
At about midnight on Wednesday, rubbish was set on fire behind the Hare and Hounds Pub in Bury Road, Breightmet.
Less than two hours later, they were called to the back of Blackburn Road in Astley Bridge where industrial bins were set alight.
At just after 5.30am, a wheelie bin in Chorley Old Road was burned in a deliberate attack.
Firefighters say all the incidents were started intentionally and that youths who start fires needlessly tie up lifesaving resources.
Steve Coote, of Bolton North Fire Station, said: “If we are dealing with these fires, we cannot attend an incident which could be more serious. We cannot be in two places at once.”
