A shop worker was attacked by men with machetes during a robbery in Bury.
Police are appealing for witnesses after three masked men struck at Chester's Food and Wine on Walshaw Road, Bury.
A 62-year-old woman, who was working in the shop, was attacked and her purse and credit cards were taken.
Four men, who had their faces covered, were seen getting into a dark Vauxhall and driving away from the scene.
The attack happened just before 8pm on Monday, August 23.
The woman was taken to hospital with injuries to her head and a serious injury to her finger.
The men were all described as Asian and wearing dark clothing.
A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of robbery and has since been bailed.
Detective Constable Simon Swann, based at Bury CID, said: "This woman has suffered a horrible injury to her hand and it is essential we catch those responsible and bring them to justice.
"We are doing everything we can to find them and want to trace all of those involved.
"If you saw something that might be relevant to our inquiry or know who did this, please contact me."
