A 12-MONTH-OLD boy was rescued by firefighters after getting his hand trapped in a bicycle.
The baby got his left hand stuck between the sprocket and chain on a child’s bike and could not get it out.
Firefighters were called to the house in Spindle Croft, Farnworth, at 12.15pm on Wednesday to release the boy.
He was assessed by paramedics and taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital for treatment to an injury to his finger.
Ben Cartwright, watch commander at Farnworth Fire Station, said: “The boy had been playing and got his hand trapped in the bike. He was screaming when we arrived and his mother was very upset.
“We used a small tool kit to dismantle the bike and free the boy’s hand.”
